Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a DevOps Engineer - REMOTE for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Human Resources clients in NY. Responsibilities :
- The DevOps Engineer will lead, design, and implement development tools and processes for in-house development.
- The DevOps Engineer will have a solid understanding of software development and design, Agile methodology, DevOps tools and processes and will have experience in driving adoption of the enterprise toolsets and provide technical SDLC expertise.
- The role requires expert knowledge to assess and improve the CI/CD process, code quality, code security, code testing, frequent code releases and compliance with end-to-end automation.
- You will actively collaborate with software developers, product managers, test engineers and administrators on projects to design, develop and improve the build, release, and deploy toolchain for DevOps.
- Establish and lead all aspects of a DevOps environment (including both tools and processes) focused on automation and collaboration to facilitate product release management.
- Provide technical expertise for development tools, process, automation, and standard methodologies to support the software development process.
- Seek opportunities for software development tools and process improvements.
- Work with the development teams to establish a development process using code branching and versioning to improve development efficiency within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Document processes, tools, software, and scripts in support of the DevOps offerings.
- Partner with engineering and IT on current and emerging technologies and impact on software development.
- Remain current with industry technology trends and enhance knowledge and expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent education and related training.
- 7+ years of relevant Engineering DevOps Tools, Software Development Process, Application Security Testing experience, Automation, and tools migration skills.
- 7+ years of experience in managing, operating a DevOps environment with industry leading solutions, Atlassian BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Xray, Veracode, AppDynamics, Copado for Salesforce.
- Experience with test driven development and code coverage solutions for web, API and mobile application development, LoadRunner, Test Automation Frameworks, Selenium.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile software delivery.
- Experience with AWS Cloud technologies, microservices, containers, docker, IaC.
- Experience in DevOps practices - Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Monitoring.
- Proficient in automation skills, Python, Ansible, Java, Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps for Application Security Testing (SAST, DAST, MAST, IAST).
- Demonstrate a Customer Services/Customer First mind-set
