- Manage the development of Data Warehouse, BI, and Reporting related projects with hands-on technical knowledge.
- Design and build a Data Warehouse and associated multiple reporting needs.
- Manage projects including SSIS/ ETL/ DW/ Data integration / SQL Server / Design / Analysis/ other ETL tools like Informatica and Data Stage
- Provide hands on development as required
- Follow standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework.
- Work with project sponsor on business and technical objective. Creates project charter, work plan, tracks schedule progress via appropriate metrics, and reports on status on a weekly basis.
- Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans.
- Manages scope. Tracks project issues and their resolution. Creates and implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources.
- Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsor. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers. Provides technical support to project team members. Handles complex application features and technical designs.
- 15+ years technical development and management experience, responsible for managing projects from inception to implementation
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience leading Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence concepts and the deliverables associated with these types of projects
- Demonstrated understanding of ETL and reporting processes as they relate to project delivery, e.g. : SSIS/ ETL/ DW/ Data integration / SQL Server / Design / Analysis/ other ETL tools like Informatica and Data Stage
- Knowledge and understanding of the SDLC
- Experience with Waterfall & Agile project methodologies
- 8+ years’ experience creating detailed project schedules, and managing to them
- Experience managing projects including SSIS/ ETL/ DW/ Data integration / SQL Server / Design / Analysis/ other ETL tools like Informatica and Data Stage
- Skills and experience managing development of Data Warehouse, BI, and Reporting related projects with hands-on technical knowledge.
- Familiarity with the tasks necessary to design and build a Data Warehouse and associated multiple reporting needs.
- Hands on development experience
- Understand Data Warehouse concepts and the deliverables associated with Data Warehouse and Reporting projects.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
