Role Description/Job Details:

Work within a global team responsible for the analysis, development and implementation of the strategic target state for the global equity trade control and sales support organization. Develop and drive strategy, requirements and implementation plans for interdependent projects and change initiatives that have significant impact on how the global equity trade control and sales support organization operates and / or supports the various equity trading / sales businesses. The candidate will communicate, influence and interact, both vertically and horizontally, to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Requires the ability to analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches and facilitate implementation by creating a clear, coherent approach to guide effective initiation, execution, and roll out of the strategic initiatives. Candidate will ensure the strategic future state operating model maintains clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key support roles. Will need to develop, maintain, and report on an overall delivery plan.

Competencies and Responsibilities:
  • Focus on end to end process automation, efficiency / productivity opportunities and risk reduction solutions
  • Perform deep dive analysis on processes deficiencies and produce clear output of evaluations
  • Support continuous improvement through discovery, root cause analysis, design and implementation
  • Develop and lead process and root cause analysis to re-engineer and improve the business support processes
  • Provide end to end evaluation and execution of solutions (e.g. opportunities to automate existing processes and address capability/platform deficiencies)
  • Coordination across Operations, Business and Tech
  • Lead the efforts to implement the strategic target operating model (TOM) through continuous improvement and eliminating exceptions at source
  • Participate in / Lead opportunity prioritization discussions with leaders within Operations, Business and Tech

S upervises trade booking and trade validation. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of a wide variety of complex products that may require special handling or exception reporting. Supports ongoing trade maintenance and reporting and supports the implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment. Introduces new initiatives, products and services, and procedural, systems or hardware solutions to improve efficiency. Provides analyses. Requires product experience and knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Provides general team guidance. May provide input to recruiting and hiring & performance mgt processes. BA preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 5-7 years of applicable experience. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills:
  • 4-8 years of Equity Capital Markets and equity derivatives product & market experience
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Detailed knowledge of equity derivatives / swaps regulations
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to engage across various levels of management
  • A creative, strategic thinker with a strong equity / equity derivative operational background - must be willing to roll up sleeves and operate in a team environment
  • Very strong self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines
  • Candidate should have a track record of successfully navigating complex organizations to drive and implement change successfully
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to synthesize data, create materials and communicate concepts to a senior executive audience
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, coordinate across silos and drive results
  • Collaborates effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships and resolving conflicts constructively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including tailoring the message to the audience, and documenting findings and recommendations
  • Strong, effective listening skills
  • Ability to complete deliverables independently or collaboratively
