We are seeking an Estimating Manager that will be responsible for preparing financial print estimates for current and prospective clients. The Estimating Manager reports to the VP, Head of Operations. They will serve as a crucial liaison between our sales, service, and print production departments.This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings. Responsibilities:

Analyze the sales/clients specifications for print processing.

Determine the print centers needed to produce the jobs including competitive pricing from unaffiliated vendors including quotes from multiple sources for comparison.

Refine specifications based on knowledge and experience for better production and lower cost, adding production steps as necessary to achieve quality result.

Ability to calculate the quantity of paper, ink, plates, and time to complete each job.

Work with vendors in obtaining best prices for supplies and with Sales Reps and Production in giving customers suggestions for improving quality and/or lowering the price of jobs.

Presents all estimates in writing, clearly written, unambiguous with all components of job factored into costs.

Assist in comparison of original estimate to actual cost sheet, investigating and explaining substantial discrepancies between estimating standards and performance.

Understand all print processes and equipment used in Financial Print Services.

Ability to create and train others on print processes.

Work with billing team to ensure all bills are accurate.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of Financial Print experience

Experience in estimating: commercial sheetfed, commercial web, cold set web, digital web, digital equipment

Knowledge regarding mail services and the impact on print projects

Full understanding of sales cycle

Customer service (internal and external) satisfaction driven.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized

Ownership

Self-motivated; self-starter

Team player

Exceptional MS Office experience, specifically in Excel

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: 110,000 - 130,000 depending on experience. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Annual Bonus: 10%
