Position overview: The COO Data Solutions Architect operates within the COO Projects and Business Intelligence ( "PBI”) function, reporting to the Business Analytics Manager. The individual in this role should have a high degree of development and programming acumen, to organize & manage complex data structures, develop and maintain ETL workflows and advise on data strategy and governance in the context of business and product reporting needs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a bias for action and results, with experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. In order to be successful in this role, the individual will need to demonstrate aptitudes in interactions with senior and junior stakeholders. Primary duties and responsibilities:- Plan, organize, design and maintain data sources, ETL workflows and dashboards for scalable, refreshable analysis and reporting
- Understand business requirements and develop data models usable by users and efficient for ETLs
- Proposing, designing, and implementing solutions following the best practices of business intelligence / data warehouse solution architecture, standards, methodology and tools used
- Lead data governance efforts in standardization of metrics, data documentation, and data catalogs
- Create and enable the creation of ad-hoc / on-demand data sets
- Monitoring and maintaining data solutions environments while continually analyzing for improvements
- 5+ years of working experience with a mixed data engineering, architecture and analytics background
- Relational database design, OLAP, large data sets (terabyte scale), and data modeling concepts, techniques, and best practices including dimensional modeling, star schema
- Experience leading initiatives around data governance, master data management, data catalogs and enterprise data warehouse architecture
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Alteryx and Tableau
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT, MIS, or business related major
- Experience with or understanding of AI, Machine Assisted Learning and Robotic Process Automation
- Knowledge of BNP Paribas Group activities and organization
- Working knowledge of global banking products & services
