This position will be part of Citi’s Global Business Risk and Controls team and report to the Policy Development Manager.The Policy Development team provides consistent, quality policies, and standards, across a broad range of subject matter and fully integrated with the broader risk management framework. The role will develop and draft policies, standards and procedures of all types and subject matter, consistent with global content requirements, partnering with subject matter experts where necessary, aligning policy content with related risk management processes, including regulation management, controls and incident management, consistent with overall policy objectives. It will also assess documents drafted by others so that they satisfy content and quality needs.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in global policy governance and management forums on behalf of global policy governance

Create, and partner with subject matter experts to create enterprise-wide policies and related documents that are clear, complete and satisfy content and drafting requirements

Work with enterprise-wide risk management system owners to align policy content with related risk management initiatives and processes

Advise and train policy owners and managers on policy drafting, content and template requirements and related topics

Develop presentation materials of all types related to policy matters, including policy governance, management and content and, on specific risk and policy topics as necessary

Provide effective challenge of key risks and issues raised and communicate timely escalation of policy governance and management matters

Oversee timely and effective tracking and execution of follow-up items

Partner and collaborate with other areas of Citi across businesses, functions and regions

Develop strong working relationships and effectively partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization (business & functions) to accomplish goals

Keep abreast of financial services regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes

Qualifications3 - 7 years experience in controls, risk management or equivalent, with a focus on financial services policy development and management

Knowledge and understanding of financial services laws rules, regulations

Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills

Excellent communications skills

Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive;

Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized

Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging

Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units;

Ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level

Experience in participating in regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, etc.

EducationBachelor’s/University degree

Advanced degree or equivalent experience, J.D. preferred
