Running Paws, Inc by AKC (www.runningpaws.com) the original dog fitness company is looking to add another Dog Runner to our expanding team of athletes. Dog Walking positions are available as well. This is a great way to get paid to exercise while spending time with dogs!
Please only respond if you fit the following criteria, read through this entire posting before responding;
Runners able to run at least 3-4 miles daily - 5 days a week. You must be in exceptional shape. Marathon, triathlon &/or field/track experience is a major plus.
Walkers able to walk at a brisk pace at least 5 miles per day - 5 days a week.
Comfortable with dogs of all sizes (and truly love animals), able to handle 2 large dogs at a time
Cold/Snow/Slush/Wind/Rain/Heat/Humidity resilient
Hold U.S. citizenship or legal working documents.
Want to work long term. Our dogs need year round care so we don't hire seasonal help.
Available to begin working immediately
Runners AVAILABLE FOR WORK BETWEEN 11am-4pm (MON thru FRIDAY, weekend availability a plus). Applications without 11am-4pm availability will not be considered.
Walkers We have some walking shifts earlier in the day and some later but generally between 7am-7pm. Weekend availability is a plus.
First step, apply through our online portal. Second, meet us for a sit-down interview at our office. Third, you will go out with one of our Athletes for a couple hours to see if you like it and fit this position (the 1st & 2nd interview are not on the same day).
