Job Description:

The role within the Industry and Market Solutions Team provides a unique opportunity for an individual to move into a role responsible for managing our existing routines with internal/external market partners which we have in place, gather information on new products and services and building cases to deploy within the operating framework. We are part of the Transformation and Process Development Team sitting within FICC and Derivatives Core Operations groups that ultimately rolls up to global Technology and Operations led by Cathy Bessant. We are responsible for sharing industry solutions and updates across our internal network providing a set of centralized resources which educate and drive a cultural shift towards digital solutions both internal and externally originated. We are ultimately helping drive the organization in adopting the best in class options to improve efficiency and workflow in the post trade service space that allows us to better service our clients.

The Market Solutions team has been established for over a year focusing on the foundations and governance framework across our work streams, this opportunity will take the team to the next level adding value to the Market Operations teams by both helping understand the industry landscape and providing opportunities to move away from our legacy process onto a more efficient and digital landscape which benefits the organization as a whole.

Our small team of four will be responsible for the strategy which is split into the following streams:
  • External Industry Partnership - These manage existing relationships with out CCPs, Affirmation Partners and Industry Standard Agency memberships while also developing our emerging relationship with Fintech and Industry Utility providers
  • Internal Industry Partnership - critical to the success of this role is managing our internal partnerships within FICC Core Operations but also our wider partnerships across the Operations, Business and Investment Strategy Teams
  • Work drivers and Opportunities - This is the part of the role which really stands out as building the opportunity statements and matching these to our internal work drivers
  • News, update and resources - This is our conduit to the stakeholders of the wider program updates, available learning resources, industry news headlines and artefacts.

Enterprise Role Overview:

HIDDEN JOB CODE: A job req should not be created for this role. Manages a team of individuals typically >4 direct reports. Accountable for the success of small projects or sections of larger ones. Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables and well as the implementation of relevant project management practices (status reporting, issue tracking etc). Day to day responsibility for managing the project with line, technology and other partners. In depth product experience & knowledge of financial instruments accounting and transaction lifecycle, and strong project and program management skills required. May be responsible for staffing, performance management and compensation decision making. BA preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of applicable experience.

Required Skills: ( Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)
  • Understanding of Global Markets trade flow process
  • Prior experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders from the business, operations, risk and technology.
  • Be up to speed with current market solutions, ideally in the post trade space
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence across the organization
  • Strong business planning, articulation and benefits cases building
  • Senior leadership interaction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
