Looking for TN Visa Position Overview: Sr. Cognos Developer role is responsible developing a framework for and setting up the self-service data platform for the users, developing alerting solutions using event studio and designing highly interactive and formatted reports. Important aspect of this role is educating other developers on the Cognos platform and its capabilities. Sr. Cognos Developer. Strong Cognos skills, ms sql server, advanced sql, reporting and visualization skills, query tuning, stored procedures. Analytics and reporting background preferred. IB domain Qualifications Basic Requirements:
- Extensive experience in development and administration of Cognos Business Intelligence platform
- Expertise in developing framework models and setting up Self-Service reporting using Workspace Advanced
- Hands on experience developing solutions with Cognos Analytics Event Studio and transformer cubes.
- Extensive experience in developing/deploying reports on Cognos Platform
- Deep understanding of Cognos platform architecture
- Expertise in entitlements, row level security and user permission assignments in Cognos Studios
- Cognos SDK experience.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Ability to establish best practices for managing Cognos Analytics environment.
- Experience working with BIG data and unstructured data sources (AWS)
- Experience with traditional RDBMS (MSSQL preferred) and ETL (MuleSoft, SSIS, Informatica, etc.)
- Curious, relentless with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Financial Services industry experience
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
