A NYS agency located in New York, NY is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager for a 12 month contract.

Please note: This position will be onsite. Candidates MUST be local.

To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business or related field
  • Strong background in Cybersecurity, Security, & Infrastructure Projects
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience with various project management methodologies such as Waterfall/Agile/Scrum
  • Solid documentation skills related to business analysis and requirements gathering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to relate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Project, Service Now, or related applications
  • Highly flexible with appropriate sense of urgency and commitment for critical deliverables
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization including managing through cross-business area or business unit prioritization discussions
  • 2-4 years' experience: Information Security, Information Technology, IT Security Administration, Security
  • 4-6 years' experience: Project Management
  • Utility or transportation experience would be excellent
  • Experience with hardware, software and CISCO
  • VMware
  • Active Directory

Responsibilities

  • Provide Project Management related support services, including coordinating and tracking the progress of agency cybersecurity and technical activities and initiative and support the projects workstreams
  • Partner with agency stakeholders and technical team leads to conduct analyses, prioritization, and planning of proposed remediation initiatives
  • Drive the necessary remediation/mitigation efforts with relevant personnel from agency Cybersecurity and other technology vendors
  • Develop and maintain a detailed agency remediation tracker and project plan for each initiative
  • Provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise (SME) to advise and/or assist agency Cybersecurity technical teams with execution of activities
  • Conduct ongoing meetings (daily or as agreed to with agency) to drive progress on cyber security and technical initiatives, track completion status, and identify / discuss issues and risks
  • Establish the necessary escalation methods for resolving identified issues that may negatively impact the progress of key security activities
  • Support the development of executive-level project status dashboard and report / present to the agency leadership
  • Analyze project reporting outputs for data integrity, trends, themes, and improvement opportunities
  • Generate and analyze IT data queries for various IT assets
  • Support ad-hoc project data management and report requests
  • Held accountable and responsible delivering systems development solutions from project initiation to project closure
  • Seeking a highly experienced Project Manager (PM) who will collaborate with program manager, project leaders, resources, and stakeholders to ensure proper coordination and execution of activities related to various processes of project management, communications, budget, and data analysis.
  • The position assists in business planning, needs analysis, and business risk assessments.
  • The position requires significant interaction with cross-functional departments within the organization and excellent communication and relationship management skills.
