What team will you be on? The Investment Institute (BII) team is at the heart of investment debate and portfolio construction. BII provides a platform for portfolio managers to debate timely topics affecting markets and disseminates impactful conclusions through internal summaries and client publications. BII research crafts the portfolio building blocks core to mission to build a better financial future for people, companies and governments. This flexible, distributed team has outsized impact on performance, commercial success, and brand. Are you passionate about financial markets? We are looking for an associate to join our team in New York to help drive BII's engagement with the firm's portfolio managers. The successful candidate will report to BII's Head of Investor Engagement and Education. Why is your role important?The New York-based team member is part of the Investment Institute's (BII) investor engagement and education team.The person is responsible for bringing together investment professionals to debate issues. This mainly includes planning BII's signature events such as the Daily Global Meeting (DGM), workshops and forums that form the basis for its global investment outlook. What will you be doing?Managing the DGM's question of the week, speaker rotations, prepping rotating Chairs and uploads to the internal BII portal.Coordinating biweekly workshops and bi-annual Forums by determining participants, analyzing survey data and posting materials to the internal BII portal.

Skills Required: Strong related business operations management, event management, data and analytics, learning and financial services experiencesA self-starter with loads of creativity, team spirit, versatility and persistence Capacity to work very quickly and really commit Meticulous attention to accuracy, detail and consistency Data mining prowess, ability to work with Excel Tech savvy and comfortable mastering new technologies Excellent organizational, representational and leadership skills Ability to partner with senior BII executives and portfolio managers Knack for and interest in managing projects, events, stakeholders and vendors
