I have a contract to hire opportunity for a Business Systems Transformation Leader to join one of our top tier private equity firms. The PE organization is looking to streamline all global systems and IT processes which includes everything from ideal initiation and tracking, asset management, investor relations, finance, all the way to HR. The goal is to provide easy access to quality data outside of all the silos and deliver best practices for IT tools to deliver this transformation. Any type of relocation will be paid by the Private Equity organization and/or any per diem travel expenses will also be paid by the Private Equity firm

Responsibilities:
  • Setting the strategic vision of the IT organization to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset; leading the development of the firm’s IT strategies and roadmap; ensuring its integration with the firm’s strategic planning processes, and the resulting IT business strategy and plans.
  • Providing leadership and management for the IT organization, including operations, business application development & delivery, and information / cybersecurity, and working in partnership with the Head of Infrastructure, to manage helpdesk and
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business application needs; ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services and support, and responding with speed and agility to changing business Using influence and negotiation skills to create synergies across the enterprise, enabling innovative shared technology solutions in achievement of business goals.
  • Serving as liaison to external IT vendors, defining the right balance of internal and external support services, developing an optimal partnership model that enables our business to continue to scale, and enhancing the capabilities of IT by leveraging a multitude of resources.
  • Keeping abreast of IT trends and issues, including current and evolving technologies, monitoring the market landscape for critical systems to support our business
  • Maintaining a robust and sophisticated cybersecurity program to ensure the integrity of all assets globally; providing oversight to the Head of Infrastructure in designing, testing and continuously improving our network perimeter; drafting and executing training programs for employees with Compliance; furthering our 3rd party cyber assessment / diligence framework and considering industry best practices to implement at our firm.
  • The candidate will also lead our efforts to implement change management across global organization to ensure adoption and minimize disruption during the transition.
  • This requires working with multiple stakeholders across various functional and regional sectors.

Requirements
  • BA/BS degree required with 10+ years of experience leading IT with a Private Equity firm or other Financial Services organization.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, and experience with multi-system integrations. Knowledge or experience in Workday, Charles River, EZE Castle, Allvue, DealCloud, Oracle or other procured vendors is a plus.
  • Experience operating in a primarily Microsoft-first shop, and comfortable with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud provider.
  • Background in strategic IT design, including systems, MSPs and people management.
  • Experience in working through major technology/organizational change with a demonstrated track record of successful large-scale technology/organizational transformation projects.
  • Significant industry experience in multiple Asset Management sectors, with a proven ability to work with C-level executive to successfully develop and drive strategic technology initiatives. An effective communicator; capable of aligning software technology and business goals.
  • Capable of assisting us to deliver a process which ultimately identifies weaknesses and propose solutions and for the selection and implementation of finance, asset management, and back-office software solutions.
