My client, a global investment bank is looking for a

Full Stack Java Developer for a

Contract position.

Hybrid job in

New York City.

You must have at least six years of design and development experience in Java, JEE, Spring, SQL Server in Unix and Windows environments. The role is to develop and support a wide range of corporate business applications, perform problem resolution, and take ownership of issues and communicate back to the business.

PLEASE NOTE: As this is a

Hybrid work module and candidates need to be able to commute in to the NYC office.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform/manage system support covering a wide range of business applications, problem resolution and ownership of issues and communication back to the business.
  • Contribute to projects and system enhancements using in-depth expertise in technology, and knowledge in domain areas, and provide solutions that will deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the technical architecture and decision making on low-to-medium-complexity projects and ensure knowledge repositories are kept current.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6 years designing and developing web applications, as well as API's using Java/JavaScript frameworks like Spring, Camel, Angular (70% server-side, 30% UI).
  • Extensive database development using MS SQL Server/ Oracle.
  • Deployment/maintenance in WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat or JBoss application servers.
  • Implementation of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven / Gradle - are highly desired.
  • Test -Driven Development (TDD)
  • Have built highly available, scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions, and rich internet applications.
  • Ability to maintain vendor products and integrate using available APIs.
  • SDLC processes including Agile methodology.
  • Analytical skills to model business functions, processes, and dataflow within or between systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to debug complex and time-sensitive production incidents.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders in functional business units and IT leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
