Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a M&A Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Sporting Goods & E-Commerce clients in New York, NY. This is a 3-6 month contract JOB SUMMARY: Our Mergers and Acquisitions team plays an integral role into why we will be the #1 digital sports platform in the world. This team is known for making cutting edge, innovative and disrupting deals that will reinvent the way fans access and engage with their favorite sports. This division is critical to the success of the overall company strategy and our mission to become the #1 Fan Brand in the world. The role as a Manager on the Mergers & Acquisitions team is an exciting opportunity to be a strategic partner and deal maker. This role provides a fast paced and autonomous environment for you to leverage your expertise and help steer the team to achieve their goals. This role will have executive level exposure and an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the company and its businesses. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Perform integrated revenue/expense analysis and recommend actions through analysis, interpreting data, and making ROI or comparative analyses -Develop projections, reports, and presentations of the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization -Prepare required documentation and perform financial forecasting and modeling -Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings -Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely -Manage competing priorities & provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events -Assist with ongoing team activities PREFERRED: -BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering and/or similar discipline with analytical bias -2 4 years of work experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity, especially with M&A deal experience -Expertise building complex valuation models using Excel and creating executive decks to drive and present business insights on potential M&A projects -Demonstrated technical expertise in corporate finance and accounting -Strong financial analysis, valuation and modeling skills -Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, valuations, and/or data interpretation and analysis -Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis -Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms -Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital -Insightful, consistent and considerate communication skills, both verbal and written. -Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization -Desire to work in a small-team start-up environment with frequent exposure to senior leadership SGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
