Service Desk Engineer

Location: Manhattan, NY 10017

Duration:6-12+ Months All 5 days onsite Shit Time 7 AM -4 PM

Job Description:
  • 2+ years of progressive relevant experience in a corporate LAN environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be willing to interact with members of the business and communicate effectively with IT Department.
  • Excellent phone & email etiquette.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • Able to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Proven ability to complete tasks independently and under pressure.
  • Strong verbal communication and written documentation skills
  • Proven experience troubleshooting network and PC hardware and software in a mixed Windows network environment.
  • Capable of working under general direction- sometimes under stressful situations
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be comfortable working independently as well as interacting effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with 3rd party vendors and partnerships to ensure Customer’s expectations are being met.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and implementation.
  • The high degree of professionalism.
  • Acute attention to detail

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013/16/365 Suite and higher.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating System (Windows 7/ Windows10)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Demonstrated proficiency with desktops, laptops, iPads, iPhones, Androids, and Blackberry handheld devices.
  • Strong verbal communication and written documentation skills
  • Proven experience troubleshooting network and PC hardware and software in a mixed Windows network environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Good attitude, positive, and willing to learn

Certifications
  • Relevant college degree and MS Professional/ or equivalent.
  • MCSE certification preferred
ITIL certification preferred
