About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer (Cyber Defense and Monitoring) to lead an area of Cybersecurity Architecture focusing on Cyber Defense. This role with sit in the Architecture and Engineering team within the Chief Technology Office. In this role, you will drive security architectures through collaboration with leadership and engineering.In this role, you will:
Develop and drive architecture strategy in several key areas of Cybersecurity, including Security Incident and Event Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Cyber Resiliency, Cyber Data Science and Cyber Data Analytics and Reporting.
Work closely with management and engineering on initiatives with Cyber Defense and Monitoring such as detection and response and vulnerability management.
Drive the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives.
Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy.
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
7+ years of Systems Architecture experience
7+ years of experience in the Cyber Security field.
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge and ability to architect Security Logging, SEIM, vulnerability and threat management solutions within a large and complex organization.
Knowledge of Red Team and Blue Team operations and Incident Handling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
