Job Description:

Hiring a

Production Services Consultant for an Equity Finance technology group in NYC with a hybrid work model. The candidate will support Finance, Cash and Synthetic PB businesses and core Prime reporting platforms. The systems are interconnected with a wide range of platforms areas outside of Prime Services IT, so a key part of the role will be working successfully with business and technology areas from across the bank.

BACKGROUND:
  • The team is responsible for 1st/2nd line support of all core Prime Brokerage systems, spanning front-to-back booking to reporting.
  • Supporting a 24 hour global business, the team operates a 24x5 'Follow the Sun' support model, backed up by 3rd level escalation

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handle user/client queries - can require in depth analysis of the technical and/or business logic of the systems, with direct trading desk interface.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing feeds to clients and vendors.
  • Perform Batch and System Management.
  • Identify and manage problems and frequent issues with to improve supportability/stability of the client's platform.
  • Take ownership of incidents and drive resolution.
  • Communicate with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Utilize ServiceNow to record and track incidents and releases.
  • Track issues and prioritize workload.
  • Conduct releases, deployment and DR management.
  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks to successful, timely conclusions.

CORE SKILLS NEEDED:
  • Issue tracking and prioritization
  • Release, Incident and Capacity management
  • Problem analysis and resolution
  • Risk management including proactively identifying and addressing risks before they impact the business.
  • Delivery of items in the client's improvement agenda (e.g. monitoring, reporting, release automation).
  • DR / BCP management.
  • Interfacing with development teams.

THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB:
  • Application support in a front office banking, or similar, environment
  • Equity Finance business knowledge or Equities with the demonstration of a keen desire to learn.
  • Must be client focused, strong communication skills and experience managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong

    SQL knowledge (they use Oracle and Sybase)
  • Strong experience of working with

    UNIX based applications -

    ability to write scripts and work on automation.
  • Experience with

    job scheduling systems (ideally Autosys).

PLEASE NOTE: It is required that the candidate be able to work early and later shifts (7:00am - 4:00pm , 8:30 - 5:30 pm, 9:00am - 6:00pm), on a rotating basis. Additionally, the team is required to be on call over weekends, to carry out releases over weekends, and to provide onsite cover on bank holidays - all on a rotation basis.
