- Coordinate with development teams and work closely with end users to design, build, test, debug and maintain software solutions of moderate complexity
- Write scalable, reusable code using Python programming language for Windows- and Linux-based front-end and back-end components that interact with end users and integrate with internal and external services
- Implement new business functionality to meet business and customer requirements
- Ensure software stability via documentation, code reviews, regression, unit and user acceptance testing so production operations run successfully
- Ensure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices
- Influence your teams technical decisions by making insightful contributions to team priorities and approach
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of Python development experience
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL), SQL and writing/optimizing advanced SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience with scripting languages (Perl, shell scripts, etc.), and Unix-based operating systems (especially Linux)
- Experience automating ETL with job scheduling tools. Autosys Preferred
- Practical experience and knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and API Gateways is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile environment
