Our client, a financial services company, is seeking a QA/Test Automation Engineer (SDET)

Location: New York, NY / Remote

Position Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

As a key position within the Quality Assurance team, the QA Automation Engineer will collaborate and communicate with various groups - business and IT, within Global Payments to understand the project requirements.

An individual working on this position is required to have strong knowledge and experience working with Financial Domain and is expected to support the QA activities for our Trading and Payments applications. We are looking for an innovative and dynamic payments QA analyst with strong knowledge of payment flows to work alongside with Business associates.

The SDET's responsibilities include both software development and testing task and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process.

The successful candidate will exhibit excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
  • Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, API, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Investigating customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports.
  • Working with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Analyzing and disintegrating software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the overall design.
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
  • Managing the final quality on production release.
  • Demonstrate programming ability in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) through creation
  • Maintenance of automation scripts through various programming languages supported by the firm.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 5- 8 years of experience in development languages including but not limited to: C#, .Net. JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, React, XML, JSON, SQL, Windows and Familiarity of industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
  • Hands on experience in Behavior Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery CI CD model including Git, Azure Devops, Jenkins and CI pipeline automation tools.
  • Experience in cross browser automation and API testing
  • Experience with UI & API test automation framework. (Selenium, REST).
