Job Description

We are looking for a Regulatory Associate to join Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Management Generation & Regulatory Team. A successful candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, research-driven, and competent in Microsoft Excel. They will be responsible for ensuring that clients remain in compliance with numerous regulatory bodies, researching the impact of legislative and regulatory changes, and coordinating market expansion for retail clients. The position is based out of Wood Mackenzie’s New York office, conveniently located next to Manhattan’s Bryant Park.

· Advise retailer clients on market expansion opportunities; oversee the subsequent licensing and registration processes

· Prepare, review, and follow up on contracts throughout the drafting and execution process

· Perform quality checks on back end resources, such as hyperlinks to state and utility regulations

· Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis on pertinent legislative and regulatory changes; prepare findings in the form of a weekly report delivered to clients

· Prepare and submit various state and federal reports for retailer clients; reports typically require the aggregation of sales or operations data
