Overview:Client Human Resources is currently going through an exciting transformational journey that will deliver various strategic projects, during which we will be transitioning to SAP Success Factors Employee Central and associated modules. As part of this transition a substantial amount of data must be extracted, transformed and loaded from various legacy systems. To maintain stakeholder confidence throughout a robust data migration approach and consequent execution is required. We are looking for the right person who will take ownership of this work and see it through to delivery. The primary responsibility will be to create and implement, based on Client's data migration strategy, a plan that maximises efficiency and accuracy in the data migration process while minimising risk. Planning, transformation logic and accuracy are pivotal to the role. The Data Migration Specialist role will work to cleanse data prior to migration, create and operate a repeatable data transformation process, manage sign-off of migrated data while ensuring data security and accuracy are maintained throughout the project. The ideal candidate will be able to use their experience learnt in previous Success Factors transformation programmes linked to the principles embedded in the programme to support the development of the most suitable solution(s) for each data element. They will work with different user groups across the Americas region to identify inconsistencies and cleanse data prior to migration. In conjunction with the implementation partner, they will develop and operate a robust plan aligned to the plan phases that ensures all data migration tasks contribute to the successful delivery of the project. Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with HR and the Project team to complete data migration analysis and assessment including the identification of inconsistencies
  • Working closely with HR and the Project team to prepare data cleanse plan that will remove inconsistencies, data quality issues and errors in HR records
  • Tracking progress of and support data cleansing activity
  • Consulting with the project team to validate requirements as to the use of data and fields identified
  • Work closely with HR, the project team, technology and the implementation partner to perform source system data analysis to create and manage source to target data mapping and migration.
  • Define mapping rules and transformations for each data set
  • Creating a data migration plan following the strategy identified
  • Working with the HR Data and Analytics team, HR Ops, HRIS and technology to transform data using various methods
  • Prepare data sets/files for Implementation partner loading and track load issues to resolution
  • Lead on data validation activities to ensure cleansed data is accurately reflected in Success Factors
  • Creating and maintaining data migration Run Book (tracker) to manage tasks within the plan
  • Raising change requests and acknowledge change requests that may impact data migration
  • Ensuring end user approval at various stages in the data migration process
  • Securely managing and handling all data
Qualifications:Education/Qualifications
  • SAP Success Factors Specialist/Professional Certified (preferred)
  • CPD in Data Migration techniques
Working experience/Personal attributes
  • Demonstratable previous Human Resources data migration experience, ideally 3+ SAP Success Factors cloud data migration projects
  • Experience of data cleansing/reconciliation/migration principles, methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Meticulous and proficient with investigating issues related to Human Resources datasets
  • Proficient in MS Excel to advanced level
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations with a propensity to persevere
  • Work with minimal direction and be able to coordinate complex activities in an evolving, agile environment
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Analytics reporting expertise would be an advantage
  • Previous experience developing Cognos reporting would be an advantage
  • Experience of IBM DataStage would be an advantage
  • Understanding of Human Resources function and operational processes would be an advantage
