Description:Our client is looking for a Windows Server/ Security Engineer who will be responsible for the management of threat protection and vulnerability management tools across post-production systems administered by multiple engineering departments. You will work with multiple post-production engineering departments to fall into compliance with security agent deployment and vulnerability management. Onsite in Manhattan 6 Month Contract +Responsibilities:
Represent multiple post-production engineering departments, reporting on agent installation progress and vulnerability remediation
Work directly with our post-production engineering and Global Infrastructure Cyber Security teams to identify, report, manage and remediate vulnerabilities
Testing, exclusion management and package deployment of SentinelOne
Conduct weekly meetings with post-production engineering lead engineers to review vulnerabilities and come to agreement on responsible, low risk remediation plans
Build automated reports for multiple ‘asset groups’ in Tenable & SentinelOne and integrate notifications with other tools (Slack/Email)
Plan and execute EOL Operating System Upgrades
Responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support.
Performs a wide variety of tasks including installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations, servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment.
Provides investigation, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
Experience with multiple virtualization platforms, e.g. VMware.
Experience with monitoring systems.
Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef).
Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python).
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
Skills' Details
Security: Candidates must have experience with Vulnerability Management/Remediation of Infrastructure environments (Windows/Linux/Mac) in post-production environments.
Automation: Candidates with Automation experience by writing scripts from scratch (Powershell preferred)
Windows/Linux OS: Administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, & security is required as they will be supporting existing environments from an operational perspective.
Mac: Must have experience in administration, troubleshooting with Mac O/S.
