Description Robert Half Financial Services are hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant role within a global Commodity Trading and Distribution firm located in midtown Manhattan New York. Our client requires a 4+ years Corporate Accounting experience at a global firm (open to industry) and strong SAP, General Ledger, AP/AR, Intercompany Reconciliation, GAAP Reporting. The role is initially remote but will eventually be in the midtown Manhattan office.ResponsibilitiesVerify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Preparing bank reconciliations
Play a crucial role during month end close; quarter end close; year-end close
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Maintain and record prepaid schedules/reconciliations
Maintain and record accrual schedules/reconciliations
Maintain and record amortization schedules/reconciliations
Reconcile intercompany trade and non-trade accounts to subsidiary ledgers including reconciliations of intercompany interest and borrowings
Responsible for various governmental reporting requirements
Assist with foreign office reporting and record keeping
Reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy
Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
Assist with other month end closing tasks
Communicate with representatives of all domestic and foreign entities
Reconcile intercompany trade and non-trade accounts to subsidiary ledgers
Develop procedures to improve efficiency
Requirements
Qualifications4+ years Corporate/Management Company Accounting experience at a global firm (open to industry)
Strong SAP, General Ledger, AP/AR, Intercompany Reconciliation, GAAP Reporting
Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting
CPA or CPA track a plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
