This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a S enior Electrical Engineer/Associate for our One Penn Plaza- New York City, NY office. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. WSP offers excellent growth opportunities.Your Impact

Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners

Coordinate design activities with other multi-discipline project team members

Design of electric distribution systems

Design of fire alarm systems

Design of lighting and lighting control systems

Scheduling and selecting of electrical components and equipment

Perform electrical load, short circuit and voltage drop calculations

Construction administration

Involved from project inception to completion in the management of design and construction of electrical infrastructure project

Attend client and other stakeholder meetings

Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Who You AreRequired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

7+ years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution at a utility, industrial, or commercial scale.

Engineer license required or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Proficient with Revit.

Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.

Extensive knowledge of infrastructure design.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly proficient with Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

Knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, energy codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.

Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Engineering.

PE License or LEED AP certification is a plus

Knowledge of AGI32 and SKM is a plus
