RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Java Rules Developer in New York, NY.
Scope of services:Business PREP is a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR) funded initiative that aims to better prepare businesses for natural or man-made disasters or any event that might disrupt their business operations. In partnership with the clients Mayor's Office of Climate Resiliency, other Agencies, and the NYS Governor's Office of Storm Recovery, the client is offering community workshops and webinars, on-line resources, and tools to improve the resiliency of businesses and neighborhoods throughout the client. The Senior Java Rules Developer's work will be focused on developing the Business PREP's new online resources portal.Responsibilities: Developer will participate in development of systems design; this includes specifying the component packaged and custom applications, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc. Support, maintain, enhance, and create business rules applications and other web components for enterprise system Work directly with business analyst and users to define business rules and processes As a Developer, you will be communicating risks and issues to the technical lead, and project management Coding and designing application Using best practices for development Perform unit testing and fixes during testing phase Document development, deployment, and operational proceduresThe Developer will be responsible for the following deliverables: All documentation regarding system design, architecture, dataflow & other technical components Rule set and rule flow implementation within Fico Blaze Advisor Rules Management Application Rules compilation & integration with Java web applications Build and unit tests for the system Use cases and misuse cases for handoff to QA teamREQUIREMENTS:Mandatory skills/experience: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered A minimum of 5 years of experience development for large-scale enterprise applications including 2 years in Java 8 At least 2 years of experience developing applications using Fair Isaac Blaze Advisor 7 rules management components At least 2 years of experience integrating Fair Isaac Blaze Advisor rule authoring & management components with Java web applications 2 years of professional experience performing business rules analysis and development Experience in compiling rule ADB files using Apache ANT Experience integrating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript into Java web applications Experience configuring Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, JetBrains TeamCity to build and deploy components Strong knowledge of XML, Spring, and Hibernate Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic 12c+ and Linux Experience with provisioning, deploying, and working with Cloud services preferably in AWS Ability to produce technical documentation Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniquesDesirable skills/experience: A Bachelors or Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies; Working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholdersKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
