The Senior Marketing and Content Development Specialist – Alternative Investments will determine investment messaging and maintain quality standards, consistency, and authenticity of messaging for the broader GWMI Alternatives platform. The Senior Marketing and Content Development Specialist – Alternative Investments will work in close partnership with investment managers, investment specialists, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Hedge Fund Research, Product Management, Marketing, Distribution (sales), Legal and Compliance, and other channel partners across the globe.The Senior Marketing and Content Development Specialist – Alternative Investments responsibilities include creating and enhancing investment content and communications, supporting new product launches, and creating investment collateral for sales and educational initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the marketing, content creation, and branding for alternatives investment products and strategies within in a global organization.Position Responsibilities include:Oversee the development and publication of a robust stream of content around the GWMI Alternatives platform. This may include extensive writing and editing for internal announcements, newsletters, white papers, articles, podcasts, client emails, video scripts, etc.
Work closely with investment and product teams, and 3rd party managers, around optimal collateral strategies, including production and delivery in written, video, and audio formats.
Understand and apply industry best practices related to internal and external sales and marketing collateral, including sales decks, fact sheets, strategy reports, commentaries, and select client reporting.
Facilitate content generation across GWMI Alternatives platform for marketing operations, including performance, portfolio allocations and characteristics, and commentaries.
Manage sales support collateral for GWMI Alternatives platform, including the development of FAQs, product positioning, and key selling points.
Propose and implement creative solutions to address communication challenges.
Create and seek approval for external and internal presentations for senior Alts management.
Liaise with Legal and Compliance to ensure investment-related content is compliant and presented such that it meets industry standards and best practices.
Position Requirements include:10+ years of experience in the asset management industry with a proven track record of success in the marketing, content creation, and branding for alternatives investment products and strategies
Solid understanding of investment management and investment processes for alternative investments including private equity, real estate, and hedge funds
Strong writing and editorial skills.
Proven abilities in key tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as experience with various marketing and content creation systems.
Articulate, detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and reassess priorities based on changing business needs across a global organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and influence at multiple seniority levels.
Experience working in a large and complex matrixed organization.
Ability to identify and recommend changes to improve and streamline processes.
Bachelor’s degree required.
