- Develop best practices for Python & R development including design principles, CI/CD, Open-Source Library management, and development environment.
- Provide solution architecture and design review with business and technology team including new tool selections
- Work with Information Security team in reviewing Python & R user environment, and open source tool review.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring for fellow Python & R users
- Execute the firm's strategic investment technology strategy
- Manage the relevant technology streams of firm's larger initiatives
- Provide oversight of all solutions and architecture developed
- Partner with other technologists to collaborate, communicate, and gain consensus over ideal technology solutions
- Seamlessly partner with the firms Application Service Delivery group, who have accountability for Delivery & Service Management
- The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Python / R Object-oriented Design & Development, and familiar with open-source best practices.
- Familiar with Python / R Package development and management
- Familiar with Python / R Test Framework
- Familiar with Python framework (Flask, Dash, ) or R framework (Shinny, Markdown)
- Working knowledge of WebAPI and Microservices development
- BS or BA Degree or equivalent work experience (10+ years)
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Python and its ecosystem
- Strong understanding of databases
- Ability to lead technical design and work management skills
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability
