Senior Technical Project Manager - Sports / Media

100% Remote Our client, a major Sports Organization, is seeking Technical Project Manager, who will be responsible for creating intake processes, doing capacity planning and planning implementation, and completion of web service projects that powers their downstream consumers, website, and mobile app.

The Technical Project Manager will be required to have excellent organizational and planning skills, as well as a strong understanding of project management, technical development, and program development.

Responsibilities:
  • Create process for ad hoc requests, and lead projects in the Data Engineering / Platform & web development space
  • Capacity planning, prioritization and setting up delivery timelines.
  • Develop and manage schedules.
  • Run stand ups.
  • Monitor technical project progress and performance.
  • Ensure that all program goals and objectives are met
  • Manage project interdependencies and ensure that tasks are completed on time
  • Manage and develop relationships with stakeholders
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure that programs activities comply with relevant standards and regulations

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in the Media / Agency / Sports or similar industries
  • MUST HAVE in depth experience with Asana
  • MUST HAVE experience running Software Development projects, for both front end and back end facing applications (front end: Mobile and web development) (Back end: Microservices, Data Ingestion, API Development)
  • MUST understand the ins and outs of Data Engineering (how data is collected, how it's stored, purpose of API's, benefits of Microservices, etc)
  • Must be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, with little structure, and help improve project intake and process
  • Experience influencing senior team members, and being "kindly assertive" - this role is for someone who can take charge and push projects forward
  • Background in software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
