The ProjectThe Consolidated Trade Ledger (CTL) is a highly ambitious project which reimagines the functional architecture needed to support the entire Global Markets’ trading business. This new, cloud native platform will provide the capacity, extensibility and scalability, and innovation capabilities to empower the next two decades of growth for Global Markets while also delivering operational efficiencies. This multi-year effort is based on an engineering-principles-first approach and aligns with the firm’s core technology strategy. CTL is a flagship project for both the Global Markets and Engineering divisions with significant senior level sponsorship.

Details of This RoleThe Core CTL Platform team is in need of an experienced Technical Writer to support the firm’s engineers and end users. In this role, you will create technical documentation for the CTL platform and update existing documentation.

ResponsibilitiesEngage with product teams to understand their technical requirements for publication to our developer site.Continuously improve CTL’s technical documentation in collaboration with engineers, product managers, developer advocates, and other technical writers.Partner with engineers and product managers to author developer documentation, including high-level overviews, references, examples, tutorials, and more.Shape the development of documentation tools and their integration into the software development environment.Work with product teams as they onboard onto our platform by guiding them through the process and getting hands-on with content creation.

RequirementsExcellent written and oral communication abilities.5+ years’ experience with technical writing, with a focus on developer documentation.Experience with Git, HTML/CSS, and at least one programming language (professional experience or otherwise).Experience managing a doc-as-code environment and working with static site generators.familiarity with networking concepts, and data protection/security concepts is preferredPassion for assisting developers with documenting their product, from both a written and technical perspective.Ability to work with the team to help thought lead the organization of technical materials and establish processes to ensure documents remain current and accurateAbility to deliver against tight deadlines and handle multiple, competing demands.
