Sr. Project Manager, Business AnalystLocation: New York, NY – HybridDuration: 6 Months +The department is organized into two main pillars:

The Project manager/Business Analyst role is aligned to Global Markets IT which is responsible for developing and managing trading, pricing, analytics, research and sales systems supporting our Global Markets businesses.

Key Responsibilities and objectives critical to success:Project Management and Business Analysis is aligned to the strategic investment initiatives sponsored by Global Equities, with the goal of achieving a set of foundational technical initiatives which will position the business to scale in its identified areas of revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with global Business, Technology and Functional stakeholders to define the functional and non-functional requirements that will help expand Front Office trading and data capabilities, deliver a zero-touch lifecycle process and improve risk management capabilities by providing additional risk tools to load and display real time risk data and bespoke stresses.
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining well defined delivery plans with appropriate level of detail. Comfortable challenging teams to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
  • Agreeing business outcomes with project sponsor and key stakeholders, validating that planned project outputs deliver these outcomes.
  • Driving delivery across multiple teams in Technology and Business, ensuring the project delivers committed outcomes in the agreed timelines.
  • Working collaboratively and supporting teams, including active problem solving and management of any risks or issues that arise during delivery.
  • Proactively managing and addressing any project conflicts, dependencies and scope changes
  • Hands on interaction with development, BA and testing teams to ensure a detailed understanding of requirements and design.
  • Monitoring and providing an honest, transparent assessment of project progress with timely reporting of status, issues, risks to various management team and governance forums as appropriate.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt approach to stakeholder groups and different levels of seniority across the organization as well as ability to present complex problems in a simple way to drive quick and effective decision making
  • Establish project governance and control processes throughout the project delivery.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT and Business Analysis for Financial Services Industry – Requirement Analysis, Solution definition and Functional Specifications.
  • At least 8 years of experience in creating requirement and functional specifications documents. Process analysis and preparing process flow diagrams.
  • At least 6 years of experience with

    Agile development methodology, knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • At least 6 years of experience in financial asset classes –

    Equity Derivatives products specific
  • At least 6 years of experience in

    Capital Markets, Trade lifecycle, Front, Middle & Back Office functions
  • Skilled at using MS

    Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Confluence, JIRA (or equivalent)
  • Experience with IT project management
  • Prior experience working closely with trading and markets front office users; understanding requirements, identifying solution and driving the changes.
  • Solid understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle, supporting technology and processes (trade workflow, position and risk management, middle office, finance, corporate actions, regulatory reporting).
  • Experience working with technology teams to deliver complex solutions across multiple business areas, functions and locations.
  • Exposure to structured project management techniques and software development lifecycle
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of delivery; Risk, Issues, Dependencies and Assumptions management
  • Track record of managing requirements, delivery and testing in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt approach to different levels of seniority.
