About the Role:As a Strategy & Planning Analyst on the Postmates team, you will help us achieve our strategic goals by conducting in-depth analysis and developing reports and insights that drive business performance. This role calls for a combination of fluency in analytical methods and languages including SQL, cross functional stakeholder engagement, and project management. You thrive in ambiguous environments, and are a self-starter with a high degree of curiosity and track record of data based insights generation.What You'll Do:
Analyze Data - Identify trends and build meaningful recommendations
Generate Insights - Based on the analysis, research, customer needs, feedback, and comments from our teams
Build Reports - To help the business make better, faster decisions and identify opportunities
Observe and Reflect - As a critical problem solver, observe and understand current operations, processes, and trends. Ask the right questions, and call out the risks and opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years' of professional work experience
Proficient in SQL, Excel and/or Google sheets, and analytical methods
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in data science, business or marketing analytics
Proficient in Python, Tableau, statistical and programming languages
Professional work experience in financial or operational forecasting, consumer pricing, revenue management, or marketing analytics
Critical and structured thinking, with a natural curiosity and confidence to seek out answers, and propose solutions where there may not yet be an answer
Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a diverse audience
Strong project management skills, comfortable working independently at times
Self-motivated, solutions-orientated, with a bias for action
Strong organization and time management skills
An interest in the future of on-demand logistics
Entrepreneurial mentality as a builder or fixer of businesses or processes
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$108,000 per year - USD$120,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
