It all begins with you.The RoleThis is a newly created position within the Chief Operations Office and will report to the Strategy & Process Improvement Leader. The Strategy Consultant will be responsible for planning and executing multiple large and complex strategic programs or process improvement initiatives of significant scope, complexity, and financial impact which span one or more functional areas and/or lines of business. Examples include: Enterprise expense reduction, COO Expense Reduction, Consent Order Implementation.Specific responsibilities include: Providing strategic consulting services to client organizations utilizing comprehensive, in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding Wells Fargo business strategy (enterprise-wide) and emerging trends in the industry. Leading, implementing and administering enterprise programs and policies across COO in partnership with process / business owners and COO stakeholders Partner with representatives from the Control Executive function, Independent Risk Management and Audit to coordinate the advancement of core risk program requirements, such as business process management, RCSA, Risk Appetite, Operational Risk Event analysis and reporting, and issues management. Serves as the primary thought leader and liaison between the business unit and a complex variety of high-level support partners in achieving business deliverables. Establishes priorities and drives accountability for assigned initiatives, providing leadership to ensure solutions are designed, integrated and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate. Consults with key internal and/or external partners, to distill highly complex concepts into pragmatic and simplified/targeted solutions. Evaluates effectiveness and provides updates to key Enterprise stakeholders, senior leadership and executive leadership, including root cause, cost/benefit, and risk analyses. Provides direction to a cross-functional team through influence and visionary leadership; does not have direct reports.The CandidateLeadership, integrity, and credibility will be determining factors in selection. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability; they will be impressive in their inter-personal effectiveness and with regard to their accomplishments. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.Required Qualifications10+ years of strategic planning experience

Strong analytical skills and ability to build business cases

Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications

Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency

Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
