  • Technical Lead/Manager (.Net) - Remote Company is actively seeking a driven and bold Technical Manager who can lead our technical development teams in delivering continuous value to our business clients and users as part achieve our Agile transformation.

    This Technical Manager will leverage their technical expertise with management know-how to turn the current teams into a first-class Agile technical organization that delivers on maintaining our ranking as Top 2 Industry Leader in the Dental space. Aligned to our company s mission and values, the Technical Manager for the Dental group will be at the forefront for marrying best software development practices with new integrative technologies that will lead to more growth while being an integral part of our members health.

    You Will:

    Manage two or more technical teams of the Dental Provider Services Team (DPST) which consist of onshore / offshore employees and contractors

    • Lead technical aspects of the systems in the Dental Provider space including Dental Network Administration (DNA), Quality Management Program (QMP), Trident, and software vendor relationships for Cactus (SaaS) and Overjet AI (SaaS)
    • Manage the priorities, resources, timeframes, and budget
    • Establish and nurture relationships with other teams directly and indirectly including SMEs from other areas of the firm in the delivery of business solutions in Scrum / Kanban / SAFe framework
    • Plan the solution, development and delivery of complex technical solutions that meet business objectives
    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring for less experienced team members
    • Manage existing and new software vendor relationships to comply with Guardian Security policies
    • Advocate and promote Agile methodology across teams and areas
    • Collaborate on the PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
    • Actively lead technical teams and participate in the PI planning events
    • Facilitate synchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the Program Level and the value stream sync for Solution Trains
    • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
    • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
    • Help manage risks and dependencies including escalating impediments
    • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
    • Encourage collaboration between teams and Application System and Solution Architects/Engineering
    • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure technology solutions align with strategy and execution
    • Improve the flow of value by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release on Demand competency
    • Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle
    • Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos
    • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve
    • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices

    Your Qualifications

    You Have:

    The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including:

    • Expertise in Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET, .Net core, Restful API, WCF, MVC, MSSQL

    • Oracle SQL server

    • jQuery, JavaScript

    • CI/CD

    • Jenkins

    • Service Now

    • JIRA

    • Confluence

    • Launchpad

    • AWS services (basics)

    • SAFe Agile Methodology
    • Manages developers of varying levels of skill sets following best practices in software development
    • Detailed knowledge of design patterns, architecture diagrams, system patterns, and RDMS relationships; architecture connecting multiple applications through webservices.
    • Works effectively with associates from across Technology, Business and Operations
    • Manages multiple projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously
    • Adapts to changing business priorities and environments
    • Understands, incorporates, and influences (when applicable) the current and future application and technology architectures
    • Demonstrates significant competence and efficiency in multiple (including new) technology environments
    • Demonstrates advanced expertise and can find efficiencies based on experience. Answers technical questions and provides technical guidance to less experienced developers
    • Understands and incorporates/follows the appropriate SDLC (Agile/Waterfall) process on all development projects

    • This a Hybrid Position. Work From Home with Travel to Guardian Office Location(s) as needed. (Bethlehem, PA, or Holmdel, NJ)
