This TTS Data Governance Officer role is specific to Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), Enterprise Services, and is responsible for governing the implementation of Data Governance policies, standards and procedures for the business globally.As client, business, and regulatory requirements continue to increase demand for high quality data (complete, accurate, timely, and consistent) Data Governance has become increasingly important for successful execution of the TTS business lines. TTS is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting program manager/analyst who is ready to take on the challenges of working in a fast-paced global environment and contributing to TTS’ continuing business success through effective data governance.The individual will analyze, solution and govern the Risk & Controls program for Data Quality Management under the regulatory-driven and Enterprise Chief Data Governance Office-sponsored data policy programs. In addition to program management, the role will require that the individual become a subject matter expert in Data Governance and Citi’s own set of Data Policies, Standards and Procedures. There is also an expectation that, through day-to-day execution of the role, deep knowledge of TTS’ business process, products, technology, and data elements will be gained.The position governs the delivery of significant programs and business initiatives for which the TTS Data Governance Office is responsible. The successful candidate will work with TTS Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams as well as the Federated and Enterprise Chief Data Offices to deliver strategic, regulatory, and data policy-driven initiatives that support the TTS business globally.As a Data Governance Officer in the highly visible TTS Data Governance team, the candidate will further develop their knowledge of Citi Data Governance Policy, Data Standards, global Cash Management, and Data Management and Innovation.The individual will gain senior management visibility and increasing responsibility commensurate with drive and abilities. Broad exposure to the ECDO and FCDO organizations, to other Citi business lines, as well as the Global Functions will enable significant knowledge acquisition and expansion across multiple facets of our business and Citi.The role is uniquely positioned with the organization to learn the entire end-to-end operation of the business and be able to influence change that can have positive impacts to our key data stakeholders including clients, business managers, and regulators.Key Responsibilities:

Provide oversight of detailed program/initiative execution plans related to ICG-level data initiatives impacting TTS business, client, and regulatory reporting

Proactively uncover and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact program/initiative delivery

Facilitate and coordinate effective communication between and across key stakeholders to enable efficient execution of program goals. Specifically:

Deliver regular status reporting to management and key stakeholders.

Evaluate and communicate possible risks and issues to the completion of program milestones.

Organize and lead assigned program-related meetings, including the creation of agendas and preparation of materials.

Take ownership by escalating issues and managing them to conclusion.

Partner with the Federated and Enterprise Chief Data Office by providing constructive and actionable feedback on Citi-wide processes, and for implementation of policies and procedures contained in the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP).

Partner with TTS Lines of Business, Operations, and Technology to learn more about data elements and business processes, ensuring adherence to CDGP principles, standards, and procedures, and to consistently track the progress of the Data governance programs and work slate that TTS DGO is responsible for.

Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate accordingly with management and program/initiative owners

Apply program management best practices and apply appropriate governance structure across all work streams

Knowledge/Experience

Experience in Data Governance and Data Management, having 10+ years’ total experience working with large global or regional data programs

Experience governing the adoption and implementation of Data Quality Controls across Treasury & Transaction products and services (i.e., payments, deposits, loans)

Experience managing Business risk and control self-assessments (RCSA)

Experience implementing, monitoring, and controlling data standards adoption

Strong Project Management skills and mindset

Assertive and confident leadership skills attained through on-the-job experience

Experience producing high quality communication materials and presenting to Senior audiences

Cash Management product knowledge across Deposits/Liquidity, Trade (LCs, loans, commitments), Commercial Cards, and Payments & Receivable is preferred.

Experience in, or interacting with, Global Functions such as Risk, Finance or Compliance is preferred

Skills

Confident at presenting to all levels of the organization in both verbal and written form

Ability to learn new material quickly and deliver results in compressed time frames

Proficient in MS Office, including use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Has a background in Program/Project Management as a PM or BA

Competencies

Understands the key dimensions of Data Quality, how those relate to Data Standards, how they are measured through a manager’s control assessment or risk and control framework

A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Clear and confident communicator with an ability to relay information, both orally and in written form, to all levels of the organization

Ability to build and maintain effective firm-wide networks and relationships

Knowledge of and/or experience in Cash Management, Trade, Payments, or Commercial Cards business is highly desirable

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized/accredited institution
