The primary responsibilities for this position are the retention and growth of in-force strategic accounts with an eye on developing innovative partnerships, expanding the Enterprise portfolio of solutions within the accounts, and driving growth.Primary Responsibilities:Accountable for strategy development and execution for the distribution strategies for National Accounts products and services within in-force clients

Provide leadership and strategic direction to senior level client management executives who partner with complex and high-profile clients

Establish short-term and long-term objectives and competitive strategies for the execution of all products in National Accounts

Anticipate industry trends, competitor positioning, macro environmental changes and pro-actively position National Accounts for business development success

Establish highly productive internal partnerships that maximize the opportunity to sell enterprise products and services

Work with other UnitedHealth Group business units to facilitate joint sales opportunities and collaborate and provide feedback in the development of and enhancement of current products and customer offerings

Consistently meet or exceed revenue growth goals, IOI, and membership targets by product line

Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills to maximize sales force effectiveness and be viewed as an industry leading organization

Represent UnitedHealth Care – Employer & Individual externally with major customers, brokers, consultants, and government agencies as an industry expert and thought leader

Represent National Accounts at industry conferences, participating in speaking engagements and community-based events

15+ years of experience in a large, complex and successful medical/insurance organization with responsibilities for sales and distribution and client management of complex products and services and growth

5+ years of experience in a senior management capacity responsible for overall aggressive sales and persistency goals

Experience managing and influencing effectively in a large, matrixed environment

Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on sound marketing, operational and financial principles

Familiarity with aspects of healthcare sales and marketing along with a solid understanding of the impact of sales activities on operational functions and profitability

Ability to analyze complex sales programs and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems

Advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions for complex organizations

The role is also eligible to participate in UHG’s annual bonus and long term incentive plans.
