- We are looking for a VP, Enterprise Architect who will report to the CTO and mainly work with him as his second in command for every project that will be delegated to this VP. This is a governance role working with others making sure appropriate actions are taken for a project to move forward and prevent any delays in the implementation and execution. This position will work independently and take direction from him and do anything he needs to be approved gets approved.
- This VP will be working closely with the architectural committee mapping out the company’s current and future landscape. In time, this position will be growing his or her team so the more technical level will come from layers underneath this position working with layers underneath different areas of the business.
- This is not a hands-on development position that requires coding but more of a position that requires a strong demonstration of someone’s experience in a techno-functional environment. Not a project manager that manages the project but someone who has a strong grasp of the project life cycle and manages the growth of this project within a given timeline.
- We are looking for a strong communicator with a great personality and who speaks very well. Someone who can talk to different teams such as the business team, technical/development team, management team, product team, platform team, security team, etc.
- We are looking for someone with a proven background working directly with C-suite management and business leaders.
- We are not looking for a developer or a solution architect who is looking to move up to this kind of position but someone who has been doing this kind of job already.
- This can be done in a hybrid remote setup with around 3-4 days of onsite work per week. We have offices in Iselin, NJ, and Water Street, NY (Downtown Manhattan area) and this VP can report on any of those sites. The CTO with whom this VP will be working closely is reporting 5 days a week in the Iselin, NJ office, so the preference is for someone to be able to report there if needed, but the NYC site is also okay if the NJ site will not really work.
- Lead the Architectural division within company.
- Manage company’s Architectural steering committee which consists of the Head of Security, Product, Platforms, Infrastructure, Data Analytics, and ServiceDesk.
- Establish the technical target state and roadmap and ensure that the multi-year plan incorporates and aligns with the overall technology strategy.
- Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies and IT processes.
- Create business architectural models to align with the organizations vision and goals.
- Liaise between platforms, infrastructure, and data teams to drive commonality, standards and best practices that meet the business needs and align to the enterprise age.
- Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
- Demonstrated management, leadership and mentorship experience to business, solution, technical, and data architects.
- Ability to put together a project pipeline that funnels projects into the Enterprise Architecture team.
- Build and Maintain company’s IT strategy which consists of current and future architecture.
- Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.
- Develops a communication plan for architecture at the enterprise level.
- Collaborates with Product leaders and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Define and lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of new technology architecture solutions.
- Ensures recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment.
- Able to present to IT senior leaders the overall business strategy of the product or solution.
- Bachelor’s in technology field with 15+ years of technology Architecture experience.
- TOGAF certification a plus.
- Communicate and document clearly and effectively.
- Maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Value teamwork and contribute to the group effort.
- Flexible in working hours and available afterhours/weekends to help meet business deadlines.
- Self-starter and ability to multi-task the workday around assigned activities and prioritize with minimum supervision.
- People in this role must be extremely good problem solvers and have strong technical ability and communication skills. They must be able to deal with ambiguity and be able to understand and provide solutions to complex problems.
- 1st Round – Initial Zoom Video Interview with the CTO
- 2nd Round – Onsite Interview with the CTO in the Iselin, NJ office
- 3rd Round – Zoom Video Panel Interview with Sr Leadership Team (can be divided into 1 or 2 sets of interviews based on the availabilities of the participants)
- 4th Round – Final Onsite Interview with the CIO in the New York City Office (CTO might sit in)
