- Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to improve and execute existing design specifications.
- Create original designs for data-heavy UI front ends for web browsers and mobile devices.
- Elicit, refine, and document user requirements and feedback.
- Use diagrams, flowcharts, and storyboards to illustrate and document designs.
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes to demonstrate front-end functionality.
- Evaluate user experience and incorporate feedback into developed applications.
- Harden prototypes into production applications.
- Manage/perform testing for functionality and accuracy.
- Manage front-end documentation and design change processes.
- Create and champion a set of design principles and front-end development best practices.
- Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals. BS in Computer Science preferred.
- Expertise in web applications development.
- Fluent in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (prefer React or Vue or make the case for your choice).
- Passionate about user experience, opinionated about UI/UX design principles.
- Expertise in crafting data visualizations for clarity and insight.
- Experience with data-focused front ends and brokering transactional data accurately.
- Excited about greenfield development and the challenges it presents.
- Pragmatic, critical thinker who is able to innovate and own the results.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Mobile development experience.
