Position Title- Grill Attendant

Location- Brooklyn, NY

Employment Type- Full Time/Part Time

Reports To- Manager

Position Overview:

The Grill Attendant is responsible for preparing, grilling, and serving high-quality food items in an outdoor restaurant environment. This role requires strong attention to food safety, the ability to work efficiently in outdoor conditions, and excellent customer service. The Grill Attendant ensures smooth grill operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting cooking area.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate outdoor grills and cooking equipment safely and skillfully.

-Greet guests with good energy and make sure they leave happy (and full)

-Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure quality and consistency.

-Set up, stock, and maintain the grill station with necessary ingredients and supplies.

-Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.

-Take and confirm grill orders when required.

-Provide quick, courteous service during busy outdoor service periods.

-Answer basic questions about menu items and ingredients.

Safety & Sanitation:

-Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

-Maintain cleanliness of grill equipment, prep areas, and cooking tools throughout service.

-Dispose of waste properly and ensure a clean and organized work area.

-Adhere to outdoor safety requirements, including heat, smoke, and equipment procedures.

Teamwork & Operations:

-Coordinate timing with other staff to ensure smooth operations.

-Assist with inventory, restocking, and daily setup/breakdown of the outdoor cooking area.

-Communicate any equipment issues or supply needs to management.

Qualifications:

-Previous grilling or food service experience preferred, but not required.

-Ability to work in an outdoor environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.) for extended periods.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

-Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (Food Handlers/License a plus).

-Strong communication and customer service skills.

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

-Friendly, upbeat, and great with people.

-Comfortable working outdoors for long periods.

-Experience in food service is awesome, but not required—we can teach you!
