Diamond Slice is a busy neighborhood pizzeria known for our New York–style slices, attention to detail, and tight-knit team.
We’re hiring for two positions:
1. Pizza Chef (Back of House)
The Pizza Chef works in the back kitchen where the bulk of production occurs. You’ll be primarily responsible for stretching, topping, baking pizzas, and occasionally expediting during service.
Duties include:
-Stretching, topping, and baking pizzas to standard
-Assisting with sauce making, cheese grating, and general prep
-Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization
-Supporting the team during busy periods and service transitions
-Communicating clearly with the front of house
Requirements:
-Experience in a high-volume pizza or restaurant kitchen
-Works cleanly, efficiently, and stays composed under pressure
-Team-oriented and communicative
-Speaks English proficiently
-Holds a valid NYC Food Handler License
2. Slice Cook / Front of House
The Slice Cook operates the front-of-house slice station, responsible for reheating and finishing slices to order. You may also be trained to handle the register as needed.
Duties include:
-Reheating and finishing slices quickly and consistently
-Managing the slice display and restocking as needed
-Maintaining a clean, organized station
-Providing friendly, efficient guest service
-Helping keep the front of house clean — wiping tables, sweeping, and assisting with large messes during downtime alongside the cashier and expediter.
Requirements:
-Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or slice shop
-Calm, friendly, and professional under pressure
-Comfortable engaging with guests and using a POS/register
-Speaks English proficiently
-Holds a valid NYC Food Handler License
Details:
Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Schedule: Full-time preferred, part-time considered
Compensation: 16 -20 plus tips
