Host/Hostess – The Knickerbocker Hotel, Times Square

The Knickerbocker Hotel, a landmark luxury property overlooking Times Square, is seeking an energetic and professional Host/Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team. Our hosts are the first impression of our dining experience and play a key role in ensuring warm, seamless service across our outlets — including Charlie Palmer Steak IV and the iconic St. Cloud Rooftop.
Responsibilities
Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable (experience preferred)
Communicate guest preferences and VIP details to management and service teams
Maintain the flow of the dining room and ensure timely table turns
Support managers and servers during peak service hours
Maintain appearance standards and uphold Forbes 4-Star hospitality expectations
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Professional appearance and polished demeanor
Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems a plus
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
