About Us:
Saraghina Caffè is a Milanese-inspired Italian restaurant in the heart of Fort Greene, known for its fresh, seasonal cuisine, craft cocktails, and warm hospitality. We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Cleaner to join our back-of-house team.
Responsibilities:
Basic English and Spanish required — must be able to understand cleaning and safety instructions
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish area, and staff restrooms throughout the shift
Take out trash, recycling, and compost; maintain garbage storage area clean and odor-free
Sweep, mop, and deep clean kitchen floors, bathrooms and back hallways as needed
Assist with deliveries, stocking, and organizing dry storage and walk-ins
Refill cleaning supplies and ensure sanitation stations are stocked
Support cooks and chefs during service with clean pans and tools
Follow all NYC DOH health, hygiene, and safety standards
Requirements:
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience a plus, but not required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
Schedule:
Full-time or part-time available
Evening and weekend availability preferred
