Responsibilities
Safely operate a commercial van to deliver construction supplies, equipment, and personnel across multiple locations.
Load and unload materials efficiently using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, identifying mechanical issues and reporting maintenance needs promptly.
Follow designated routes and schedules diligently, adapting to changing priorities or site requirements.
Communicate effectively with project managers, warehouse staff, and site crews to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records in compliance with company policies.
Assist in moving equipment or materials within job sites as needed, supporting overall project progress.
Must be able to do occasional painting when needed.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, or delivery roles within construction or warehouse environments.
Strong knowledge of driving safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting for commercial vehicles.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel effectively.
Physical ability to load/unload cargo, move materials on-site, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving or heavy haul is advantageous.
