Product Manager, The Product Manager oversees several key revenue producing products as well as internal support products that drive efficiency. Responsibilities include documenting strategy, creating and defining requirements for design and build, product messaging and positioning. This role will also be directly responsible for implementing customized customer programs and troubleshooting user and client issues related to our premium newsletter products. The Product Manager works closely with the dedicated sales, edit and tech teams to continue to build out and refine the product keeping it competitive in the market.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working cross-functionally across all areas to define and prioritize business and editorial requirements for new products and enhancements.
  • Owning the core Barron’s product roadmap.
  • Making product enhancement and optimization recommendations to increase revenue both from advertising and subscriptions.
  • Performing business analysis to demonstrate ROI and P&L impact of product enhancements.
  • Working with research teams to gather and analyze audience research and feedback regarding new products and enhancements.
  • Working closely with software developers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Defining and measuring KPIs for success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 9+ years of digital media, news and investing experience with an emphasis on product management. Membership, subscriptions and paid products background is a plus coupled with strong new product development background
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Great people skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
  • Expert in project management software such as JIRA and Trello
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with Omniture analytics platform
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to lead within an environment where resources are shared with others
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative consumer research.
  • Self-starter with a can-do mentality and strong communication capabilities
