Senior Cloud Consultant Job Description: As a Senior Cloud Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing single- or multi-vendor IT cloud Solutions. You will have the opportunity to work within industry-leading account teams and customers to understand our clients needs, craft and build sustainable IT solutions to get them there.From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.Job Responsibilities:
- Planning and designing solutions for multi-vendor/multi-cloud Solutions
- Serve as an escalation point for Engineers, Sr. Engineers and Consultants
- Troubleshoot complex technology issues
- Assess Customer environment and make recommendations on solutions and improvements
- Escalate issues to other team members and subject matter experts, as necessary
- Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions in a multi-cloud environment
- Lead discover workshops and requirements gather sessions
- Build HLD & LLD documents to meet customer requirements
- Build and Configure public and private cloud infrastructure to meet HLD/LLD specification (automated wherever feasible)
- Lead or Assist Migration and PoC activities
- Be available to meet customers IT needs
- Lead a team of engineers on professional services projects
- Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications highly preferred. i.e.: VCP, NACP, CISSP, Amazon AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Professional, Microsoft MCSE Cloud Platform Infrastructure
- Serve each and every customer to internal standards
- Excellent customer service skills on phone and in person
- Professional demeanor and good communication skills
- Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and experience required. Must be able to adjust style to match the audience whether internal, client technical or client executive. Proven experience articulating technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, including technical and business decision makers. High EQ sought.
- Public Cloud Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure and inter/intra cloud networking and connectivity
- Automation of Public Cloud Infrastructure deployment and configuration via: Powershell and Public APIs, ARM or Cloud Formation, Ansible/Terraform
- Containers and Container Management Platforms
- Cloud Native Services
- Cloud Backup and DR
- Security - Micro Segmentation, IAM, Firewalls, etc.
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 8-10+ years of hands on experience in IT
- 4-5 years Designing and building public cloud infrastructure: Experience specific to Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with security solutions and products (Palo Alto, Sophos, Check Point, Cisco, etc)
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash/Shell/Python/PowerShell)
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
- Experience with containers including Docker/Kubernetes
- Multiple industry-recognized Certifications preferred. i.e.: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft AZ300
