Job Description
IT Systems Technician Secaucus, NJ Contract to hire Our client is a fast growing manufacturer of women clothing and attire. They are currently seeking an Information Technology System Technician with 5+ years of experience. The position will cover two physical locations, one in Midtown Manhattan and the other is in Northeast New Jersey. This is an on-site role. Warehouse and logistics IT support and device management experience is required. Job Responsibilities & Duties- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, printers, RF guns, scanners, label and other printers
- Assemble, install, configure and test computer equipment
- Complete work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices
- Maintain software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develop inventory lists and order, stock, and store electronic components
- Participate in new hire training, conducting walk-through of systems, troubleshooting issues with users as required.
- Prepare and submit vendor warranty claims, parts, and documentation associated with warranty repairs (with authorization from vendors).
- Perform moves, adds, deletes and other changes for phone users. Set up calling features like call forwarding and voice mail.
- Assist with configuration and set up of servers to work with various programs as required
- Assist in ensuring networked user backups are performed on a regular basis.
- Provide support to users relating to both hardware and software problems
- Configure and distribute mobile phones; maintain inventory, documentation and tracking system for mobile phones; provide phone support and training to new users and solve miscellaneous phone problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communication, and/or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards.
- Maintain computer network documentation; update computer maintenance manuals.
- Maintain security cameras and related systems
- Respond to help desk tickets
- Perform related duties and special project work as assigned.
