While our culture remains start-up in feel, the opportunity for success is now even greater.We are seeking an experienced software engineer to help us build and grow Cheddar's thriving business news network and News 12's world-class hyperlocal network. You'll be joining a lean team of passionate engineers andd esigners who care deeply about delivering amazing experiences to hundreds of thousands of daily viewers. In this role, you'll have theopportunity to work across a variety of platforms, engaging with cutting edget echnology for web, mobile, OTT, and broadcast. We are looking for someonewho is excited to learn, tackle new challenges, and make an incredible impacton our products.Our stack is primarily Rails with React + Relay/Apollo, GraphQL, and a little bit of Go. Our ideal candidate has strong enough ability with Javascript frameworks to jump right in but is more backend focused with experience in Rails, although we are open to a wide range of technical experience. We welcome new ideas, tools, and technologies, and you should be eager tolearn, share, and teach as a part of our collaborative team. This role has the opportunity to grow into a management position for someone interested in that path and will involve mentoring, pairing, and technical leadership with other engineers on our team.

Experience architecting, developing, and implementing product features and improvements? Enthusiasm for work on both backend and frontend projects? Proficient in Ruby on Rails? Strong familiarity with Javascript and/or Typescript and React? Excited to explore technologies, develop new skills, and share knowledge? Flexible, pragmatic, and oriented toward finding solutions? Experience working with common unit testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, etc).?
