Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking an IT Security Specialist V
Location: New York, NY Position Type: Contract Job Summary: The Asset Services path to stability project has been approved to create a staffing and processing model that will allow us to have a proactive operating environment and a culture of risk and control. Experienced resources with core Asset Services processing experience with Voluntary, Mandatory, Dividends and reconciliation experience are necessary to imbed with the existing global Asset Services teams to support volumes, complexity and aged breaks. These resources will need industry experience of the trade lifecycle and understand the upstream and downstream interdependencies with the Asset Services processes. A detailed job description is required for each skill set in order to support a competitive bid process (due diligence):- Role requires 5+ years of core Asset Services industry level experience in the processing of institutional voluntary and mandatory corporate actions and dividends supporting International Prime Brokerage, Wealth Management and Global Custody Businesses.
- Role requires a deep understanding of settlement cycle Reorg life events including dividends, proxy, class actions, and mandatory corporate actions.
- Role involves dialogue with both production teams along with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Role will support the build out and execution of an Event Management layer across the Asset Services operations insuring awareness and execution.
- Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve.
- Role requires established critical thinking skills and the ability to manage messaging with situational awareness.
- Must be well versed in establishing controls and escalations in all end to end processes.
- Role requires a full understanding of reconciliation/breaks and the key controls in a production environment.
