As part of the Americas Equity Trade Control team, the candidate will be responsible for providing all aspects of operational trade support to the Equities sales and trading businesses. The role provides operational support for an exciting and fast paced set of businesses across Equities. The candidate will collaborate with business partners alongside end to end functional areas in order to deliver on business and operational objectives for the Global Markets Equities division.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational support across the lifecycle of a trade for related lines of business, drive booking accuracy, and process improvements. The position will provide opportunities to drive change, improve controls, influence front to back operational processes and exposure to several lines of businesses and products. The individual will also have opportunities to 1) develop thorough understanding of business processes, products, and market workflows; 2) participate in assignments across the department for supporting various trading desks to gain well rounded knowledge of various products and processes; 3) coordinate with Trading, Sales, and other support functions to build their network and gain an in-depth understanding of the end to end business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform operational activities of the trade support functions: equity swaps and derivatives lifecycle management, corporate action processing, cash equity processing, trade allocations, trade amends, trade break research and resolution, regulatory reporting, static data maintenance
  • Responsible for trade validation and trade amendment booking. Analysis and resolution of a wide variety of problems across cash equity and equity derivative products that may require special handling or exception reporting
  • Collaborate with various areas across Global Markets such as trading, sales, trade control, risk, credit, COOs, legal, compliance and other operational areas
  • Participates in the introduction of new project initiatives, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance controls
  • Handle ad hoc requests from trading, sales and client(s)
  • Collaborate daily with peers across functional areas based in US, EMEA and APR to ensure seamless and consistent global front to back support
  • Develop and analyze processes, procedures, control checklist and metrics
  • Collaborates with business, compliance, supervision, and risk to ensure procedures are compliant and up to date
  • Leverage understanding of the performance drivers for the GBAM businesses to create value add analysis and lead strategic insights
  • Identify opportunities and drive change to improve booking accuracy
  • Maintaining trading book, instrument and client reference data

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for maintaining already developed Trade control processes, e.g., Trade booking, trade validation and ongoing trade maintenance and reporting. Requires product knowledge, knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Delivers support for new products and initiatives, provides analysis and KPI/MIS reporting. College degree (Bachelors or higher). Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, financial products knowledge, ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret large amounts of data, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, the ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, technical fluency, with ability to learn new systems quickly, the ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, the ability to work in a team environment, the ability to adapt to and take ownership of change and excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
