Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a IT Project Manager for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. Responsibilities :
- The selected candidate will join a team of FIX Certification specialists who perform client certifications for electronic order submission.
- As part of a global team (New York, London, HK, and India), the ideal candidate is a skilled, enthusiastic team player to support the Electronic Equities business.
- They understand the pivotal role that a client FIX certification plays in the success and growth of the electronic equities business.
- Act as Project Manager for client connectivity onboarding & certification projects
- Migrate existing connections from a legacy platform to a new trading platform
- Coordinate certification sessions with clients and vendors.
- Track multiple certifications at once and maintain a record of the certification queue.
- Identify new functionality compared to existing functionality.
- Lead meetings with business and IT partners to communicate status, raise risks.
- With the global team, maintain an accurate FIX Specification document
- Maintain a table of vendors and functionality that has been certified on the platform.
- Identify and assist in resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones.
- Technical experience is preferred for identifying and raising bugs.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for detailed documentation.
- Keep track of deliverables & milestones, highlight deviations to concerned stakeholders and management
- Train and coach team newer members of the team on the applications
- Maintain a strong relationship with the business partners
- Knowledgeable of the FIX Protocol
- Prior experience working with various FIX connectivity vendors
- Minimum 10 years in IT Finance industry.
- Knowledge of Agency Equities and Derivatives markets.
- Knowledge of Synthetic PB business and Swaps orders.
- Knowledge of Front office Trade life cycle is mandatory
- Knowledge of Middle and Back office workflows is preferred
- Knowledgeable of OMS/EMS functionalities and corresponding order execution work-flows.
- Comfortable using a BBG terminal.
- Wiki/Confluence/JIRA experience is required
- Experience working with Flextrade is a plus.
