Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Java Developerfor a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. Responsibilities :
- Implementing spring web workflows and implementing Single Sign on, web security
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products;
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment
- Develop various solution project documents such as solution alternatives, solution recommendation, package diagram, deployment diagram, design-level class diagram, sequence/activity/communication diagrams, BPM diagrams, platform specific component diagrams, and non-functional design considerations deliverable
- Assist the Solution delivery lead and Solution Delivery Manager to manage technology risks on a project and perform meaningful feasibility studies
- Develop specifications to integrate with legacy applications leveraging web services, messaging and enterprise service bus
- Contribute toward developing solution guidelines, standards and best practices
- Review platform specific detailed code components and ensure alignment of code to the defined solution
- Work with quality assurance team to define test environments and also non-functional test cases
- Nice to have experience coding Java/Selenium to augment automated testing needs in scrum team structure
- Work with infrastructure team to validate physical system requirements and solution alignment
- 5-8 plus years strong Java (8, 11)/JEE experience coupled with UX JavaScript (Reactive native, Angular, Bootstrap)
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
- Strong hands on experience in Java frameworks available such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot
- Deep knowledge of common JEE, Integration, User Interface design and BI patterns Strong hand on development experience to develop in Java/JEE, Web Service and RESTful service rapidly
- Advanced knowledge on API integration, service protocols and standards such as SOAP, JSON, XML, WSDL, JAX-WS, and others.
- Advanced development experience Java/JEE technologies coupled with strong SQL background
- Strong Object-Oriented analysis and design skills including requirements analysis, Object Oriented design patterns, and UML;
- At least one plus year experience in deployment JEE applications into Amazon cloud environment or Red hat Open Shift container or Docker container
- Good understanding of front-end technologies AngularJS, React, HTML5, and CSS3 Understanding accessibility and security compliance using tools such as Spring Security
- DevOps experience and a solid understanding of the CI/CD concepts and experience in continuous integration build tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Nexus, Maven, Fortify)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment.
- Experience incorporating non-functional design aspects into the code components
- Experience with quality assurance process for testing applications including functional, non-functional and parallel testing
- Strong understanding of Application resiliency, security, scalability and general performance concepts
- Strong understanding of enterprise application performance issues and tuning.
- Working knowledge of WebSphere, Jboss, Tomcat or Eclipse IDE
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, perform in depth code reviews and ensure design and coding are adhering to security and architectural standards.
- Solid working experience in agile project delivery (preferred scrum master certification) and competing priorities
- Experience with MS Project and ability to create and monitor work activities as part of a larger project
- Ability to collaborate with multiple business and technical teams
- Moderate knowledge of Word, Excel and productivity improvement tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Experience in working on various application platform integration such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Tibco Scribe or similar tools
- Hands on experience deploying JEE application into Amazon ECS, OCP - Open Shift Platform, Docker container and other middleware technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Java JEE development concepts using the following tools/frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkin, Axis - Web Services
- Experience working JUNIT, Maven, Subversion, Oracle, SQL Server, and WebSphere, JBoss middleware
- Java/JEE, AWS ECS/OCP/Docker, Spring, Spring security, JavaScript frameworks, GitHub,, Maven, Jenkin, AWS cloud knowledge, Appian or ServiceNow experience (1-2 years) OR Mobile (iOS/Android)
